Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure used to reshape the nose. Rhinoplasty can change the size (reduce or increase), shape (change the tip and bridge of the nose), and the angle between your nose and upper lip. It is also used to correct birth defects, a deformity as a result of an injury and may reduce some breathing problems. Rhinoplasty has helped many of people enhance their appearance and boost their self-confidence.
The procedure itself will vary according to what area of the nose you are interested in improving. Typically, rhinoplasty can be performed inside the nose so there are no visible scars. If an open rhinoplasty is performed, you may have an incision under the nose (in the vertical strip separating the nostrils).
